Advanced IMS Canada receives research funding of US$250,000 for development of some core IMS components including Diameter, Media Servers and Network Management systems for IMS. Advanced IMS has started this project with 13 new developers. Expected completion date is April 2009 although smaller versions of the product will come out early.

Advanced VoIP signed a deal with Softel GmbH a VoIP provider in Frankfurt Germany. Under the deal Softel will use AdvancedVoIP's Interconnect billing solution for their VoIP wholesale traffic. The product will be integrated with Siemens HiE9200 softswitch and Nextone softswitches.
